high school students talk to a professor during a pre-college summer academy

Champlain College’s CyberStart program was recently featured in Forbes, detailing our career-ready and hands-on learning approach to getting Vermont high school students interested in the cybersecurity field early-on.

“This is workforce development meets career exploration,” Forbes writes.

CyberStart is recognized for its zero-cost access, college credit, career pathways, scholarship opportunities, and applicable real-world skills. In short: we¡¯re making cybersecurity careers more accessible, starting right from junior and senior year of high school.

CyberStart is a dual enrollment program we created alongside our local employer partner NuHarbor Security, blending aspects of the cybersecurity firms¡¯ real-world industry experience and Champlain¡¯s expert faculty. Students can enroll with no technological experience required. All you need is an eager curiosity to learn valuable digital protection and problem solving skills.
