The Integrative Professional Studies major lets you create your own personalized degree by combining two to three areas of study from Champlain’s career-focused programs. Instead of following a set path, you’ll design a unique education that matches your specific career goals.
Our graduates work in fields that blend their interests and talents. For example, one student combined Cybersecurity with Sonic Arts and now networks audio boards for a theater. Another merged Innovation & Entrepreneurship with Communication and now manages a small business. Your education will be as unique as your career aspirations.

The Degree Design Lab (DDL) is where you’ll craft your personalized academic journey with support from expert faculty mentors. These specialists in interdisciplinary learning will help you:

You’ll work closely with mentors who understand how to blend different fields effectively, ensuring your customized degree translates to real career opportunities.
How It Works
Choose Your Threads
Choose two to three minors or threads (AKA your academic pathway for the next 4 years) from a selection of career-focused programs. This is your chance to combine your passions and build an amazing foundation of expertise in each area.
Expand Your Thinking
Through special Degree Design Lab courses, you’ll create connections between your different interest areas, developing the integrated thinking skills employers value.
Make Connections
Work with a dedicated faculty mentor who specializes in interdisciplinary learning. They’ll guide your course selections, help you develop meaningful projects, and ensure you’re building marketable skills.

Pre-College Summer ProgramsChamplain¡¯s pre-college summer programs offer motivated high school students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a subject area they¡¯re passionate about, gain new skills, get a taste of college-level coursework, and add strength to their college applications ¨C all while having fun with like-minded peers.
