The Climbing Club has provided a great community to Champlain for many years and is a great space for students to relax and engage in something casually athletic. We go to indoor rock climbing gyms three times a week¡ªMetro on Wednesday mornings and Sunday evenings, and Petra on Friday evenings. Gym accessibility is free (though you do need to pay for gear if you do not have it), and rides are provided.

Description
The Champlain College Dance Team is a fun way for students to dance in college without the pressure of tryouts. We work on many fun and unique projects during the year and experiment with different dance styles. At the end of the year, there is an opportunity to perform at the annual Champlain College Dance Team (CCDT) Showcase, with original choreography from our members. We strive to have a positive and safe environment for everyone to be in their bodies comfortably while dancing.

Champlain Club/College Esports (CCE) is a student run club that looks to provide a space for gaming and esports for all Champlain students who are passionate about gaming culture. We look to push the limits of esports and engage all students in club events that are centered around social interaction, fun, and of course, gaming. Being diverse and inclusive are our objectives as we look to make esports available to everyone and accommodate any game a student(s) want to build a team for. CCE is focused on gaming, esports, and bringing together a community of individuals who are passionate about video games.

CCE Splatoon is a part of the Champlain College Esports club. We compete in CCA (Collegiate Cephalopod Association), the largest collegiate Splatoon league in the US. We also host community outreach events for Splatoon and Non-Splatoon players.

The mission of our club is to foster a community of individuals who are eager to spend their time out in nature. Whether it be hiking across the rolling hills of Vermont¡¯s Green Mountains in a sea of Fall colors, paddling through the lakes, creeks, and rivers of the New York Adirondacks, or gliding across the snow on one of many cross-country skiing trails, we are committed to getting you out there. Our trips vary in difficulty, ranging from casual day hikes simply meant for appreciating the beauty of the woods to strenuous treks that will be a true test of endurance and will. Regardless of whether you consider yourself to be a casual hiker or a rugged adventurer, there is something here for you.

Champlain Ultimate Frisbee welcomes players of all skill levels to join weekly pick-up games. We’re happy to teach new players! Ultimate is a great opportunity to meet people on campus, get some fresh air, and have fun. We play casual games on and off campus, as well as other disc-related games such as KanJam and disc golf.

The Hearthlight Club meets twice a week to engage in physical activities using foam props. The main activities include games such as capture the flag and red-light, green-light. The main priority of the club is everyone’s safety followed by inclusion and fun. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come participate or watch. Ski and Ride is an inclusive, community-building club for students interested in winter outdoor recreation. Our goal is to form a community in which people can learn to ski and ride in a safe and welcoming environment! Meet friends and form lasting memories with other Champlain students. We host events like general meetings, movie premieres, and shop nights. When the cold months bring snow, the club will transition to in-person, on-hill events, such as community ski days, learn-to-ski events, and our annual Rail Jam.
