Biography

David Rous has taught history and interdisciplinary studies at Champlain since 2006, specializing in first-year courses such as Concepts of the Self, Concepts of Community, and the First Year Inquiry: Reading, Writing, and Gender in Pop Culture. He attended Colorado College and the University of Vermont. His research includes popular culture, post-war American history, the Civil Rights Movement, the Cold War, and European Colonialism. His interests include reading, hiking, soccer, modern languages, and arguing.
