I chose to become a tutor because I’ve worked as an editor in many of my writing classes and think my skills will be helpful for anyone looking for another set of eyes on their work.

Admittedly I was looking for a job, but I also wanted to connect with people and share my knowledge in a meaningful way.

Advice to Champlain Student?

Try your best to be passionate about whatever you do: it leads to your creations sparking good feelings in you and around you.

While I was working at a drive-in movie theater this past summer, a turkey flew right through one of the screens.

Why do you want to be a tutor?

When I was little I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. That’s not really my goal anymore, but I still really enjoy teaching, especially literature and writing analysis!

Advice to Champlain Student?

Do work in the labs when you can, being around other people in the same/similar major as you can help a lot!
